Why 'Pluen'?
Pluen (the Welsh word for feather, pronounced 'plee-en') has many different meanings. In almost every culture around the world, feathers hold some form of spiritual or traditional meaning. They can connect you to another plane or simply help someone to find some strength. In death, a feather can be a comforting sign for the bereaved. In life, a feather can symbolise freedom and new beginnings.
Pluen Celebrancy are here to guide and support you through the big ceremonies of life and death, and we promise do it in whichever way you find comfort and meaning.
Cymraeg
Menna is a first language Welsh speaker. Whether you want your ceremony held in Cymraeg, in English or with a mix of both, Pluen Celebrancy can help. We have a large collection of Welsh poems, readings and songs if you'd like some suggestions for your occasion.
Dementia Friend
Having previously worked closely with those living with Dementia, Menna knows the importance of the Dementia friend motto: 'Be calm, be kind, be patient.' As a proud Dementia Friend, Menna will ensure you feel supported and cared for throughout our time together.
FOIC
The Fellowship of Independent Celebrants is an accredited UK based organisation that offers in depth training in all aspects of Celebrancy. Menna achieved a Diploma in Funeral and Marriage celebrancy through the FOIC in 2025.
